This class combines many of my passions: walking, looking and seeing, movement play, creativity and urban exploring. My main squeeze man will even make a guest appearance to teach us a surprising thing or two.
Part city exploration, part parkour play, part anatomy lesson, part philosophy class, part good old fashioned neighborhood stroll, during the Power Promenade you will:
Walk 3 miles
Observe something new about nature
Improve your gait
Memorize a poem
Learn why walking strengthens your brain
Traverse monkey bars
Practice your balance
Get over, under and around obstacles
Squat, skip and shuffle
Discover secrets about Seattle streets and parks
Be inspired to look at the world around you with fresh eyes and curiosity
Each week will be it’s own adventure with a unique walk route, unique exercises and unique exploration. Join for one, two or all three.
All ages and abilities welcome.
Prerequisite: A good attitude.
Each participant will get an original workbook to take home.
We will begin and end at Roanoke Park: 950 E Roanoke St, Seattle, WA 98102
